The Warsaw Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation “into a case concerning large-scale material damage caused to TVP SA in the years 2018-2024 by persons engaged in property matters.” “This whole gloomy circus means that this time Mr. Bodnar’s club has been raised over my head,” responded Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, former director of Belsat Television. “I consider this a continuation of the rabble that has been used at TVP in recent months, as well as political persecution,” she wrote.
In a press release, neo-TVP announced that following a report filed by TVP SA under liquidation on July 8, 2024 on suspicion of committing a crime, the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation. A case concerning the alleged “causing of large-scale material damage to TVP SA in the years 2018-2024 by persons engaged in property matters.”
According to neo-TVP’s revelations, “the company could have lost approximately PLN 7 million by concluding contracts for the provision of IT services and issuing false VAT invoices in the amount of approximately PLN 5 million for IT services that were not actually provided in order to obtain financial benefits.”
Management of Belsat Television
After filing a report with the prosecutor’s office on July 8, Telewizja Polska confirmed to PAP that the suspect was the former management of Belsat Television.
Former Belsat Television director Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, in a statement to PAP on July 9, strongly protested the dissemination by TVP authorities of information indicating that the television station it managed was subject to embezzlement and that false invoices had been issued for IT services.
Romaszewska-Guzy commented on the prosecutor’s office’s decision to launch an investigation into the X platform:
The machine keeps turning. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation after TVP reported on Biełsat television about alleged abuses… The investigation is of course still ongoing and it is not yet known whether and against whom any charges will be filed, but once again my name appears in TVP’s messages. announcement… All this in the grim circus means that this time Mr. Bodnar’s club is raised above my head

I consider this a continuation of the mob that has been used in TVP in recent months, as well as of political persecution. As we know, attempts are being made in Poland today to give political issues a criminal cover and at the same time to slander inconvenient people in public opinion. I have always clearly expressed my views, which, although rather opposed to the current government, were not necessarily completely in line with the line of any party. But too much of it is unhealthy. I must say clearly: whether they accuse me of something or not, whether they put me in jail or not, I will never agree to Poland becoming a “democracy”, because that is how the despotic regimes in Belarus and Russia began. And I will do everything in my power to combat it
– writes Romaszewska.
