Opposition politicians criticized the unclear announcement of the Ministry of National Defense about the interrogation of 17 people in connection with the scandalous attack by left-wing activists on soldiers defending the Polish-Belarusian border. Key findings in this case were revealed by the portal wPolityce.pl and Telewizja wPolce. “Apparently, seventeen people have already been questioned in this case. 16 soldiers and their commander. Julki, who spat on uniforms, stripped and insulted soldiers, is doing well,” wrote Marcin Warchoł on X.

Footage has leaked online showing a group of young people attacking Polish soldiers, using profanity and pushing against them. After some time, the soldiers get into a car and drive away.
Spokesman for the Podlasie police, sub-inspector Tomasz Krupa, told Telewizja wPolska reporter Stanisław Pyrzanowski that all soldiers had been questioned.
The first information reached us a few dozen minutes after the incident. The police arrived at the scene and of course there was no one there. The next day we started the investigation. Unclear message from the Ministry of Defense

On the night of July 13-14, 2024, soldiers on duty at the border were attacked by a group of about twenty people. Among other things, violating the physical integrity of soldiers by spitting on their uniforms, making insulting gestures and using vulgar slogans. The Border Guard, the military police and the police were immediately notified of the incident and are conducting an investigation. At the moment, everything is being explained by the services. However, PiS politicians noted this in the statement of the Ministry of Defense and Minister Tomczyk 17 “people” are mentioned, without specifying whether the questioning concerns soldiers or activists.
The Bodnar Prosecutor’s Office has still not issued a statement on the bandit attack on soldiers guarding the border with Belarus. Deputy Minister Tomczyk proudly announced that seventeen people had been questioned in the case… he just forgot to mention that they were all soldiers.
