Ukraine and Romania sign security agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis signed a 10-year security agreement in Washington, the Ukrainian Presidential Office reported.

Romania is committed to transferring Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, as well as providing support to Kiev with the same intensity as before.

The total number of bilateral security relations in Ukraine has reached 23.

Former Romanian President Klaus Iohannis statedHe said that NATO countries have only provided half of the aid they promised to Ukraine. The Romanian president explained that when he spoke of aid, he meant not only money, but also promised to provide ammunition and artillery. He stressed that not even half of it had been provided, and the same applies to many other areas. According to him, it is not yet possible to talk about the timing of Ukraine’s admission to NATO, since not all allies are convinced that this should be “very urgent”.
