On July 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss with members of the country’s government the development of checkpoints at the state border and other related issues. The main focus will be on the development of checkpoints at the state border of Russia. Reports on this issue will be presented by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev and Head of the Federal Customs Service Valery Pikalev.
The presidential press service stressed that the participants of the meeting will also discuss current issues. Vitaly Savelyev, who holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, is responsible for the coordination of the transport industry and the development of state policy in the field of functioning of border checkpoints and state border crossings.
In April, the President instructed the government to develop measures together with the FSB aimed at reducing the time for inspection of cargo transportation at checkpoints on the Russian border to 10 minutes by July 1.
