By decision of PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński, the director of the Chancellery of the Małopolska Voivodeship Assembly, Michał Ciechowski, was suspended as a PiS member and steps will be taken to expel him from the party – the group’s spokesman Rafał Bochenek told PAP.
The issue of the election of the Marshal of the Voivodeship
Due to the situation in the Assembly of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and the inaccurate information that has appeared, I would like to point out that the decision regarding the candidate for the Voivodeship Marshal, Mr Łukasz Kmita, was and is the decision of both the party leadership and the majority of the councillors of the Assembly, which is clearly evident from the result of the last vote. Questioning this decision is an act to the detriment of Poland and de facto constitutes a violation of the principles of loyalty and fidelity to voters who vote for PiS.
– PiS spokesperson told PAP, presenting the party’s position on the situation in Małopolska.
He added that the decision of the chairman of the regional council, which “is intended to prevent a democratic decision through new regional council elections, is not only an act to the detriment of the party, but also of Poland.”
Disciplinary action will have to be taken against people who engage in the above activities
– he announced.

He also announced that “as of today, Mr Michał Ciechowski, Director of the Regional Council Office, has been suspended as a PiS member by decision of President Jarosław Kaczyński and steps will be taken to expel him from the party.”
According to the decision of the party leadership, in next Monday’s votes there will be discipline regarding the selection of the Małopolska Voivodeship administration, recommended by the PiS leadership.
