Armenia may soon hold a referendum on the necessity of joining the EU. We talked about this issue in our conversation with a Latvian TV channel. LSM.lv Speaker of the Parliament Alen Simonyan said the following during his visit to Latvia.
“Our society has decided to become part of the European Union. A few days ago there was a discussion in our parliament about the referendum… I think we will hold this referendum someday in the near future,” the speaker emphasized (quote from TASS).
He expressed that he is confident that Armenian citizens will respond positively to the question about the necessity of the country joining the European Union.
