“From July 1, that is, next Monday, the government of Donald Tusk, the coalition government of December 13, will abolish the energy shield and give Poles wage increases. This is a blow first of all to households, and secondly to companies,” former head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak told Telewizja wPoland.
PiS has drafted a draft amendment to the laws to support electricity, gas and heat consumers, aimed at expanding the protection mechanisms that will be active in the first half of 2024. The Legislative Initiative Committee “Stop price increases from July” was created and under this slogan PiS collected signatures in support of the project. On June 7, it was submitted to the Sejm as a citizen’s bill.
When asked at a press conference why the Sejm did not want to deal with this project during the session that started on Wednesday, Hołownia said that “the analyzes are still ongoing.”
Law and Justice have always ensured that there is an energy shield so that households do not suffer from anything related to inflation, which was indeed high. But the causes of high inflation lay outside Poland, there was a pandemic that also affected our country, but it was something global, and the war, the war that Russia started by attacking Ukraine
– said Mariusz Błaszczak.
Donald Tusk’s government gives Poland a pay rise
However, from July 1, i.e. next Monday, the government of Donald Tusk, the coalition government of December 13, will abolish the energy shield and give Poles wage increases. This is a blow firstly to households, and secondly to enterprises, these small enterprises, for example bakeries, that use electricity to function and the prices of the products of these enterprises will necessarily increase, because this mechanism is
– emphasized the former head of the Ministry of National Defense.
When Marshal Hołownia says that we submitted the Stop Price Increases project as late as July, that is not true, because we submitted an identical parliamentary project in the spring of this year, in January, so there was enough time to deal with it to take. The majority of the coalition rejected this project on December 13. […] Since the December 13 coalition does not honor the parliamentary bills, we have raised more than PLN 140,000. signatures of Poland and we introduced this project as a citizen project
– explained Mariusz Błaszczak.
But there is no agreement here, so the December 13 coalition finances wage increases, finances poverty and finances business bankruptcies. […] I would be very careful about these commitments made by coalition politicians on December 13, because I would like to remind you that Donald Tusk vowed during the autumn election campaign that if he were to take power, fuel at gas stations would be PLN 5.19 would cost.
– added the politician.
