“I spoke to the neighbors, but no one saw anything. I have never received any threats,” said Beata Stępniewska, PiS councilor from Żyrardów, in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
Unknown perpetrators broke the window of the house of a Law and Justice councilor from Żyrardów. Beata Stępniewska explains in an interview with wPolityce.pl what the situation was like.
I have a two-story house. I got ready to go to sleep. The lights were already out downstairs. Suddenly I heard a bang. There was a city holiday in Żyrardów, so I was not particularly surprised. After a while I heard the sound of breaking glass. Then I ran downstairs and saw a rock in the house that had broken the window
– say.
I found three stones. One was in front of the house, the second was on the windowsill and the third had already broken the window. I reported the matter to the police. I called 911 immediately after the incident
– he adds.
PiS councilor
When asked if she suspects a political motive for the attack, Stępniewska replies:
I don’t want to accuse anyone, but I am a councilor for Law and Justice. We are the opposition in Żyrardów. But so far no such situations have arisen. Not in my life, not near me. The attack happened just after 10 p.m. I talked to the neighbors, but no one saw anything. I have never received any threats. I am a councilor for the first time. I have no personal enemies.
She also draws attention to an unusual event that occurred after the attack on her home.
While I waited for the police, I looked out the window. After about ten minutes a black car drove past my yard. I was surprised that it went so slowly. As he passed my house, I heard him accelerate quickly
– says Beata Stępniewska in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
