Law enforcement officers detained the first deputy mayor of Orel, Vadim Nichiporov. The newspaper reports this “Kommersant”.
According to journalists, the Investigative Committee and regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused to comment on the detention, as well as the mayor – they did not indicate whether Nichiporov was at work or not.
The detention occurred against the background of the initiation of a criminal case on behalf of the head of the Investigative Committee – the head of the Oryol department of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, was instructed to check the circumstances surrounding the blocking of commercial activities in Oryol. . The application was submitted by local businessman Vadim Krivov, who is engaged in transport.
According to Krivov, the entrepreneur asked Nichiporov to solve obstacles to legal activities when he was the deputy head of the city in charge of housing, communal services and transport.
