“The case of the Justice Fund will not sink Law and Justice,” assured Joachim Brudziński, guest of Krzysztof Ziemiec, on RMF FM. The PiS MP called the scandal “a joke and a political joke.”
Even the accusations that are formulated, as in the case of Minister Woś, are completely derogatory accusations (…) The financial benefit would come from the Central Anti-Corruption Office
– argued the PiS member of the European Parliament, drawing attention to what he considered meaningless accusations.
Krzysztof Ziemiec asked what the association of rural housewives or the fire brigade, which would also benefit from money intended for crime victims, have to do with the Justice Fund.
How often when you drive through the streets of Polish cities (…) at the scene of an accident in which there is a victim (…) the first to appear are firefighters from volunteer fire brigades
– Joachim Brudziński said on RMF FM and advocated the validity of financial support for firefighters.
The whole situation actually looks like this. There was a project for the development of Poland by Minister Boni, the Civic Platform, a polarizing and diffuse project, which means that we collect all the funds in Warsaw and Poznań, and the fact that the Law and Justice government started sending these funds to municipal and district Poland – this is what we stand for today
– noted the politician.
Response to the coalition’s allegations
As the host noted, the claim is that “this money was used in the election campaign for candidates running in these constituencies, and not to ensure that Poland was actually evenly developed.”
For the time being, Mr. Editor, we hear about it from the mouths of opposition politicians or some media, but no specific charges have been filed in this case, because in the applicable regulations regarding the Justice Fund, the sole administrator of these funds is the Minister of Justice. If it turns out that these funds have been embezzled and ended up in the pockets of politicians, we do not have the Neumann principle that if you are here, we will defend you as if we were independent (…) we have repeatedly given testimony, Jarosław Kaczyński, that if there was any suspicion or malfeasance on the part of our officials, even ministers, there was an immediate response here
– argued Brudziński.
More than PLN 105 million from 23 contracts deemed invalid will have to be returned to the state treasury from the Justice Fund.
– Krzysztof Ziemiec remembered the words of Adam Bodnar.
In turn, Senator Krzysztof Kwiatkowski announced that he would submit a notification to the prosecutor’s office in connection with the expenditure of funds from the fund. As Joachim Brudziński assessed, “the closer to the elections, the more such bold announcements there will be.”
Can you imagine a situation in which Jarosław Kaczyński would appear before the prosecutor?
– asked the editor of RMF FM.
With this power we can imagine anything
– said the MEP, admitting that he did not know why Jarosław Kaczyński would be taken to court under the Justice Fund.
