According to him, Washington conveyed to Kiev its concerns about two attempted attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on radar stations that both warn of nuclear attacks from the West and provide conventional air defense.
“These radars were not about supporting Russia’s war against Ukraine,” the US official said. He emphasized that for Russia, these are sensitive objects in terms of strategic deterrence.
