The White House rejected criticism from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for allegedly refusing to attend US President Joe Biden’s “peace summit” in Switzerland. John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the White House National Security Council, stated this in a special online briefing. TASS.
He claims to have no information about the US delegation that will attend this event. According to the American official, no matter who represents the USA at the summit, it cannot be said that Washington does not support Kiev.
“It’s not like President Biden doesn’t support Ukraine. No other leader since the beginning of this conflict has done, and continues to do, more than President Biden to ensure Ukraine gets what it needs. <…>” said Kirby.
Before that Zelensky named Biden’s decision to skip the “peace summit” in Switzerland is “not very strong.”
Previously Zelensky asked Biden and Xi Jinping will attend the “peace summit” in Switzerland.
