A week ago, Finance Minister Andrzej Domański told journalists before the EU Council vote on the migration pact that the Polish government would vote against all elements of it.

What does the migration pact mean in practice?
The reform was proposed by the European Commission in 2016, but was blocked by some member states due to the proposed forced relocation of migrants. The European Parliament voted on the new version initially agreed with the EU Council in December 2023 and presented by the EC in 2021.
