Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Ministry Deputy Ali Bagheri Kani had a telephone conversation and confirmed their determination to establish a strategic partnership between the countries. This was reported by Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Lavrov expressed his deep condolences to Kani regarding the tragedy that befell the country’s President Ibrahim Raisi.
In the statement, “The parties confirmed their determination to unconditionally continue the course chosen by the leaders of the two countries towards the establishment of a strategic partnership between Russia and Iran and to be ready to implement all existing agreements and projects in a wide range of fields,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
