In an interview with the publication, Carey stated that forcibly deporting military evaders to their home countries is against human norms and that deporting them would be a wrong step.
“I am against Slovakia returning men of military age from Ukraine. These people do not want to fight against the Russians <...>“said the MP.
Previously, Ukrainian officials said the European Union and Kiev had agreed on a “smooth” deportation process.
