First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma International Relations Committee Aleksey Chepa said that Russia has different assessments of the proposals of France and China regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. So in a conversation with “Bant.RuHe commented on Beijing’s plans to work with Paris to resolve the crisis.
“We understand China’s characteristics and psychology. They did not back down from their previous statements regarding a peaceful solution, which we also support. We understand and appreciate their position very well; they know and say where the roots of all this come from,” Chepa said.
He also noted that Beijing and Paris have different approaches to resolving the conflict. The MP emphasized that if someone, including the French, tried to make some decisions without Russia’s participation, it would be “impossible”.
The MP believes that China and France “have the same task, but different approaches to solving it.”
Before that Associated Press WroteFrench President Emmanuel Macron will try to persuade Chinese President Xi Jinping to use influence on Russia to bring closer the end of the conflict in Ukraine, he said.
Previously Von der Leyen hoped that China would influence Russia on the Ukraine issue.
