“If the EU wants to be a strong political and economic alliance, it must consist of sovereign states that take each other seriously and subjectively,” said Michał Dworczyk, MP, on Telewizja wPolska. The PiS politician on the list of Lower Silesia and Opole emphasized that in order for Polish interests to be noticed in Brussels, it is necessary to elect people who “put Poland first, and not the EU.”
The elections for the European Parliament will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The parties have already presented lists of candidates running for the position of MEP. Michał Dworczyk from PiS is third on the PiS list in the Lower Silesian and Opole voivodeships. As he said on television in Poland, the most important thing is to vote for the candidates who will put Polish issues first in the EU.
If we elect MEPs who are responsible and put Poland first, and we hear that in the ruling coalition there are people who say “first the EU, then our country”, then there will be an opportunity to fight for fundamental values - the most important from Poland’s perspective.
– said Dworczyk.

Choices have consequences
Róża Gräfin von Thun und Hohenstein is also running from the same district to Michał Dworczyk, who, among other things, supported Migration Pact, Green Deal, extension of the suspension of import duties on Ukrainian agricultural products for one year. She also favored changing the EU treaties and supported many resolutions against the Polish government.
The European Parliament works firstly for the whole EU and secondly for the whole of Poland
– said Rose Thun.
This is one of the examples of politicians who do not put Poland first, but the European Union. We have to tell the voters about this because it has certain consequences. This kind of attitude will result in agreement to reform the European treaties in such a way that a significant part of the powers that now belong to the Member States would be transferred to the European Commission and various other EU bodies. We do not agree with this. We believe that if the EU wants to be a strong political and economic alliance, it must consist of sovereign states that treat themselves seriously and subjectively. The idea is to avoid situations where stronger countries, in the name of their national interests, make decisions that are unfavorable to smaller or medium-sized countries, such as Poland.
– said the former head of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mateusz Morawiecki. He also commented on the bizarre behavior of representatives of Donald Tusk’s government, who did not participate in the state celebrations of the May holidays.
This is a scandalous and anti-state action, aimed at certain party interests. This action is harmful to the entire country. Yesterday, on Flag Day and the celebration of the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad, only the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs was present with the President of the Republic of Poland. I don’t think this is how it should be. Participating in such celebrations should be a normal practice, because we are all Poland, one nation. Such deep divisions do not serve us and are certainly exploited by countries that are unfriendly to our country. External interference is much easier when social divisions and rifts are as strong as they are now
– said the MP for Law and Justice.
