Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze rejected his visit to the United States after the American side demanded that the parliament’s consideration of the bill on foreign agents be suspended. This was reported by TASS Referring to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
“The Prime Minister of Georgia was invited to visit the United States on the condition that, before the visit, the Georgian parliament temporarily suspends consideration of the bill on transparency of foreign influence.
In the statement, it was stated that the conditions of the visit did not comply with the spirit of partnership, which should be based on mutual respect and trust, which was explained in detail to the US Ambassador.
