The Legal Committee of the Parliament of Georgia supported the bill “Transparency of Foreign Influence” in the second reading. This was reported by Sputnik Georgia.

During the debate, heated arguments took place between representatives of the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party and the opposition. RT.

At the beginning of April, the ruling Georgian Dream party submitted a draft law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” to the parliament. The accompanying note stated that the initiative includes mandatory registration of non-profit legal entities and media organizations whose income comes from abroad.
