Chinese hackers have infiltrated the critical infrastructure of the United States and are ready to attack at any time. This was stated by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Ray. Reuters.
Wray alleges that Beijing is behind the leadership of the Volt Typhoon hacker group, which gained access to a significant number of US companies in other critical sectors of the economy, including energy, water and telecommunications.
The FBI director believes that Typhoon Volt could at some point deal a “mild blow” to the United States, crippling a significant portion of the American economy.
Beijing denies its connection to the hacker group and says Washington is trying to use the issue to baselessly criticize China.
