Poland received the largest tranche since its membership in the European Union, amounting to approximately €6.2 billion. This was announced by the country’s Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalencz. RIA News.

According to him, 3.9 billion euros of this amount is a loan and 2.3 billion euros is a grant.

Poland has been provided €6.2 billion as part of the country’s economic recovery plan (RRO) affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This is the first stage slice; Warsaw sent the application to Brussels on 15 December.

Pelczynska-Nalencz announced that the money received will be used for various investments, including €1.6 billion for the Clean Air program and €720 million for the White Spots in the Broadband Internet Map program.

In addition, the funds will be used to build and repair roads, create kindergartens and invest in agricultural processing.

Poland expects to receive the next tranche under the KPO by the end of 2024.
