Kiev’s Western allies need to accept the realities of the war zone in Ukraine and change the format of discussions about possible options for ending the conflict. A newspaper reporter wrote this in his article Berliner Zeitung Thomas Fasbender.
According to him, after almost 780 days of conflict, “it is time to understand the reality of what is happening.”
As the author notes, to prepare an offensive operation, Ukraine needs to have several hundred thousand experienced soldiers, as well as significant reserves of equipment, weapons and ammunition. He also described Kiev’s stated goal of reaching the 1991 borders as “misleading”. Fassbender stated that this would not happen even if Ukraine’s Western allies shifted their economies to a state of war.
He also pointed out that in Germany “the same cliché formulas are constantly reproduced”: “Russia has no right to win.” Ukraine must not lose.”
“It happened. Absolutely. As if Germany had a say. Are you at all interested in reality?” – added the journalist.
Before that, American war correspondent Russell Bentley commentedRussia’s victory in a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine or a change in pro-war regimes in the West are two scenarios that would prevent a nuclear conflict.
Previously in the USA saidHow will the conflict in Ukraine end?
