Mehmet Palaza, the deputy leader of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) in Turkey, died when the balcony collapsed during the enthusiastic celebrations of the party’s victory. This was reported by RIA Newsreferring to the party’s message.
The incident took place in Tavas district of Denizli.
İHA agency announced that the balcony where the party’s election success was celebrated in front of a crowd of supporters suddenly collapsed. 8 more people were taken to hospital along with Palaz, but the official could not be saved.
