The spokesperson of the National Public Prosecution Service commented on the announcement of the lifting of immunities of members of Sovereign Poland. “Such a proposal is not ready yet. This really requires processing the material that we obtained during these activities this week,” Przemysław Nowak said on TVN24.
The PK spokesman was asked about possible requests for the lifting of parliamentary immunities of politicians involved with the Justice Fund, including a request to former Deputy Justice Minister Marcin Romanowski, who oversaw the fund.
Such a proposal is not ready. This actually requires processing the material we obtained from these activities this week. We decided that this material was needed for further processing, so now it needs to be processed. Because we would be quite inconsistent if we were to take the following steps without analyzing this material, and please understand that some of this material (…) is in electronic form. So it’s not just a matter of reading the documentation, but you have to do it correctly, so sometimes you have to make a binary copy of this equipment and then open the contents of this media.
– replied prosecutor Nowak. When asked about the date of completion of this work, the PK spokesperson said that this would be a matter of weeks.
When I talk about weeks, I mean that it is not days and not months, which means probably not in six months, but weeks. But it is difficult to say whether it will be a few weeks or ten weeks
– notes the spokesperson of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The Bodnar Public Prosecution Service will not back down
The PK spokesperson was also asked about the words of former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice Marcin Romanowski, overseeing the Justice Fund, who stated on the X platform on Friday that “all competition procedures related to the Justice Fund were open and transparent .” He also ruled that the accusations on the basis of which the court had imposed three months’ detention on the three detainees in this case were based on false information.
Mr. Romanowski is one of the people who is personally interested in this procedure. It is a completely impartial entity. This matter obviously worries him. He was, at least at one point, the person responsible for the operation of this fund
– responded prosecutor Nowak, adding that “filing charges against someone means that, in the opinion of the prosecutor, there is a reasonable suspicion that this person has committed a crime.”
This is also our position: there is obviously a high probability of committing prohibited acts and this assessment will obviously not change
– said the spokesperson of the Bodnar prosecutor’s office.
The Public Prosecution Service, led by Adam Bodnar, who made illegal changes there, announces the lifting of the immunities of parliamentarians of Sovereign Poland in connection with the investigation into the Justice Fund. It is not difficult to guess how Tusk’s coalition, which has already helped put pardoned MPs behind bars, will vote in the Sejm. The question is where the ‘will to the rule of law’ has gone in the case of Tomasz Grodzki, against whom the same Bodnar public prosecutor’s office has already withdrawn the request for waiver of his immunity. Does this mean that PK spokesman Przemysław Nowak can now say that the evidence collected in this case is even worse?
