The ABW burglary of the house of Zbigniew Ziobro, the burglary of the apartments of three other parliamentarians of Sovereign Poland, the entry into services at the Monastery and Seminary of the Fathers of the Sacred Hearts – this is “Holy Tuesday”, as Roman Giertych said mockingly on Twitter. Then the arrest of Fr. Michał Olszewski, who spread lies about the circumstances of this event and finally Maundy Thursday. On such a special day for every priest, the court decided to detain the priest for three months. These are not random dates! The extremely oppressive methods of these activities are not coincidental either! Everything was in accordance with the program announcement of the Civic Coalition, which promised political revenge, punishing the Church and depriving Catholics of their privileges so that they would never raise their heads again! Regular persecutions began. And we can be sure that Borys Budka, who wrote the day before yesterday that “this is just the beginning”, knew well what he was threatening.
Fuck immunity
It was illegal to break into the home of the former Minister of Justice without the assistance of the person concerned or a person authorized by him. After all, he is not even a suspect, but a witness in the ongoing proceedings surrounding the Justice Fund. The immunities of three other parliamentarians of Sovereign Poland were also violated: Michał Woś, Marcin Romanowski and Dariusz Matecki. During previous governments, the immunity of parliamentarians, in situations of much more serious scandals, was a sacrosanct matter. Let us recall the famous corruption cases of MP Stanisław Gawłowski and Marshal Tomasz Grodzki. Yesterday another line was crossed when the parliamentary chamber of MP Woś was broken into. The only thing seized was his laptop, in which he had notes needed to testify before the Pegasus Select Committee, which started a few hours after the event. It’s clear that the services are taking everything they can get their hands on. Documents completely unrelated to the case were stolen from Zbigniew Ziobro’s house. Even children’s telephones were taken away. A major row under the pretext of an investigation into the Justice Fund.
Punish the Church and arrest Catholics
This happened to the Church on this occasion. Because, as Sławomir Nitras announced, “a shock is needed”, “a punishment is needed” and taking actions to make Poland’s Catholics a minority. “We have to deny you certain privileges because if you don’t, you’ll raise your head again.” – he said on Campus. Donald Tusk included it in his election manifesto, and after taking power, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz firmly stated: “Let me remind you (…) of one of our pre-election commitments – namely Church businessmen will not benefit from public money for culture. It is not possible”.
And they attacked the churches! Sienkiewicz suspended the payment of funds for the construction of the Memory and Identity Museum in Toruń, announcing that this was just the beginning. Today we see that the Tusk team is capable of anything. On Maundy Tuesday, the services invaded the monastery and seminary of the Fathers of the Sacred Heartas if members of a drug cartel lived there. The case concerns the Profeto Foundation, which was established under secular law and not ecclesiastical law, so such a violent visit is even more illicit. But it was probably about impressing, showing off and intimidating. This was accompanied by various insinuations and media manipulations about the circumstances of the priest’s detention.

Devilish Maundy Thursday
Today, on Maundy Thursday – a particularly important day for every priest – Fr. Michał Olszewski heard a vague complaint from the prosecutor and the court decided to detain him for three months! It is not only a powerful intimidating signal, not only an important symbol, but also a form of repression. Because it could have happened in a different way and at a different time. Naturally, we do not know the details of the procedure, because even the priest’s representative was not allowed to hear them. We only hear that the Profeto Foundation would receive money for the construction of the Archipelago Center for victims of violence in a way that violates regulations. Patryk Jaki says so “the only accusation against Fr. Michał Olszewski has no specific experience in building centers like Archipelag. Meanwhile, such a criterion did not exist in the competition. That cannot be true, because it is the first such center in Poland. Was it necessary to take such radical measures? Doubtful. Especially since a month ago, when publications against the Foundation appeared, p. Olszewski issued a statement in which he assured the transparency of the foundation’s activities and expressed his willingness to cooperate with state authorities.
Today’s Supreme Court decision is also no coincidence. Just today, on Maundy Thursday, he decided that the desecration was legal. LGBT+ activists who pasted the statue of Our Lady of Częstochowa with a rainbow halo in Płock churches and toilets remain unpunished. The appeals submitted to the Supreme Court by Kaja Godek and the Płock priest were rejected by the Supreme Court as “completely unfounded”. At the same time he charged them legal fees.
These are not coincidental events. The dates chosen for its implementation are also important. Since December 13, 2023, a thick avalanche of political revenge has been spreading across Poland. Just before Christmas, Tusk’s team carried out a gangster attack on the media. Just before the resurrection she started plundering houses and monasteries. Case? It is difficult to avoid obvious associations. We know these methods very well from the past. Borys Budka warns that “this is just the beginning!” The question is what else they will prepare for us before Easter and when they will launch their attack on Father Tadeusz Rydzyk, announced in 100 specific details over 100 days. Two weeks ago, Hołownia solemnly signed an order to the Supreme Court of Auditors to become a father director. Could a much more spectacular manifestation of power be prepared here? We must not forget that socio-political reality also has a spiritual dimension. This war between the spiritual worlds has been very evident in recent days. And there is probably no better time to reflect on this issue than the Easter Triduum that begins today.
