Ukrainians who took part in the negotiations on the import of grain to Poland attacked the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Michał Kołodziejczak, and wrote about his allegedly nervous behavior. Kołodziejczak responded to the accusations in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
On the Polish side, Minister of Agriculture Czesław Siekierski and Deputy Minister Michał Kołodziejczak took part in the negotiations, and on the Ukrainian side, Minister of Agriculture and Food Policy Mykola Solski and Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Taras Kaczka.
The Ukrainian Grain Association posted a message on the X platform attacking Deputy Minister Kołodziejczak.
During the negotiations, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Michał Kołodziejczak, behaved strangely. Often he would jump up and run out of the room, only to come back, sniffling and quite nervous
– it said Ukrainian Grain Association.
In another contribution, the Ukrainian Grain Association announced that a compromise had been reached on fruit and honey.
Kołodziejczak’s answer
Michał Kołodziejczak responded to the Ukrainians’ allegations in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
Apparently the Ukrainians did not like that I was so well prepared for the conversations with them. During the many hours of meeting, I used substantive arguments and recalled their previous announcements, which they are now trying to back away from, and this caused dissatisfaction.
– Kołodziejczak noted.
This is a dirty game and the Ukrainians’ reaction to the accurate arguments he used at the negotiating table
– he said.
This is a planned action, playing us. Two hours earlier I gave them a list of plant protection products they can use, but we cannot because they are banned in Poland and the European Union. This made them very angry. However, their nerves only increased when I clearly pointed out two lies to them
– he said.
I stretched out in my chair, as did many others at the meeting. The meeting was long, we were all tired, we are only human
– explained the Deputy Minister of Agriculture. He added that he was sniffing “because he has a cold and a runny nose.”
Reaction from ZP politicians
Politicians from the United Right also responded to the whole situation.
Mr. @EKolodziejczak_! Even Ukrainians make fun of you and laugh at you. You were hiding in @MRiRW_GOV_PL. All you need to do is immediately impose an embargo on agricultural products from Ukraine, instead of making a fool of yourself. 🇵🇱Farmers are waiting for the embargo. And the promised list of importers!
– wrote on the X platform Janusz KowalskiMember of Parliament of sovereign Poland, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
She also noted the arrival of the Ukrainian Grain Association Anita CzerwinskaPiS-MP.
