The deputy head of the Pegasus Investigative Committee, Marcin Bosacki (KO), believes that if motions to waive the immunity of former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro are submitted to the Sejm, they should be handled efficiently and quickly. He also stressed that Ziobro must be heard before the committee as soon as possible.
At the request of prosecutors investigating the use of Justice Fund funds, searches and arrests have been carried out in several parts of the country in recent days; searched, among other things, the homes of the seriously ill Zbigniew Ziobro. The spokesperson of the Public Prosecution Service, Prosecutor Przemysław Nowak, said that during a search of the house of the former Minister of Justice, the original file of the surveillance files of the preparatory proceedings related to his father’s death was found. He added that the materials found during the searches will be analyzed, also with a view to a possible waiver of immunity.
Marcin Bosacki, a member of parliament of the Civic Coalition, who is also vice-chairman of the parliamentary investigative committee for Pegasus, commented on the third program of Polish Radio on the issue of the search and the possible testimony of Zbigniew Ziobro.
Spooky “fun”
Unaware of the serious health condition of the former head of the Justice Department, Bosacki stated that his hearing before the committee could take place as early as next month.
I think this conversation will be interesting, we are prepared for it. The preparatory talks aim to hold the next meeting of the Pegasuas Commission of Inquiry in April, shortly after Christmas
– he announced on Polish radio program 3.
In a speech full of arrogance and lack of empathy, Bosacki noted that the sick Zbigniew Ziobro had proven that he could testify at the investigative committee, as he could speak in front of cameras for a long time.
We saw, contrary to what he had been trying to convince the public for months, that although he was ill – which I do not deny at all – he could not come home alone in a few hours, whenever he saw fit. , but also in the morning and evening to appear in front of the cameras for a long time. He is clearly capable of testifying before our committee. I think it will also be April
– said the KO MP.
He also admitted that he was satisfied with the previous statements of the former Minister of Justice, who stated his willingness to appear before the Pegasus Commission and provide appropriate testimony.
Marcin Bosacki also spoke on Radio Trójka about the documents found during a search by the services in Zbigniew Ziobro’s house. The politician stated that there are some common issues that would connect Zbigniew Ziobro with the former President of the United States, Donald Trump.
There is something that connects Minister Ziobro with former US President Donald Trump. Both kept secret documents in the garage or other rooms of the house that they were not allowed to have. This is outrageous and proves how PiS treated the Polish state as its private farm
– said Bosacki.
Woś’s next interrogation?
According to Bosacki, the Pegasus Commission would like to summon MP Michał Woś again, this time in secret, because – according to Bosacki – the sovereign Polish politician’s MP refused to answer questions too often.
We have no decision yet, but our preliminary discussions with Ms Sroka are aimed at the next meeting in April, probably shortly after the holidays, to secretly recall former Minister Woś.
– he revealed.
Yesterday, as I calculated, he used oblivion more than twenty times, saying that he did not remember the main facts about the transfer of PLN 25 million from the CBA Justice Fund. Even more often he said that he could talk about something, but in a confidential way. He will soon have the opportunity to tell us what he knows in a confidential manner
– announced Bosacki.
The KO MP accused the former Deputy Minister of Justice of dishonesty and lies.
In my opinion, Mr Woś misled the Sejm Committee by saying that this money was needed to fight the consequences of crime, but he now says that the services needed this kind of instrument to fight crime. And the law was specifically amended to allow such enormous amounts of money to be allocated from the Justice Fund, which was intended to serve crime victims, to fight crime.
– Bosacki noted on Polish radio.
The CBA should be financed exclusively from the state budget, but the Justice Fund was obviously not part of the state budget. But there is one more thing: Mr Woś keeps saying that in 2017 he argued to the members of the parliamentary finance committee that this money would go to fighting crime or preventing crime, while I showed him the transcript of this committee out of 7 showed. Years ago he was there, he said the opposite, that they were going to fight the consequences of crime, i.e. things like giving psychological help to crime victims, material help, etc. Then he deceived the MPs, he told them not that it wouldn’t go to equipment for the CBA, or even to crime fighting. , he only misled the high parliamentary committee. I think we’ll continue this thread
– concluded the KO politician.
There is something extremely morally reprehensible in all this media bashing of the seriously ill Zbigniew Ziobro. After all, the coalition does not stop at informing him about his summons to the committee etc., it even seems to enjoy exploring this subject and all circumstances in various media.
