Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his counterpart from the Republic of South Africa (RSA), Cyril Ramaphosa. This has been reported Kremlin press service.
At the beginning of the speech, Ramaphosa offered his condolences regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow. Following this, the country leaders initiated a dialogue on issues related to cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Africa in various fields.
“We expressed satisfaction with the level reached by the strategic partnership between the two countries. The statement stated that a number of practical interaction issues in the trade, economy, energy and humanitarian fields were discussed.
Additionally, the South African President and Putin touched on the issue of interaction within BRICS and also discussed the republic’s peace initiative to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian leader emphasized that the Russian Federation is ready for a comprehensive meeting on a diplomatic solution to the situation.
Before that Putin in the name President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso greatly appreciated the work of Russian doctors and epidemiologists to eliminate the epidemic of infectious diseases in Congo.
