Russia expects a new meeting with Japan, the head of the UN Security Council, this month on the anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia. This was reported by RIA News referring to Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s first deputy permanent representative in the organization.

“Yesterday the Russian Federation requested to hold a meeting in the near future on the 25th anniversary of NATO aggression against Yugoslavia. “We are waiting for an official response from the Japanese presidency,” Polyansky said, commenting on the transcript of the previous meeting.

On March 25, France and the United States disrupted a Security Council meeting requested by Russia on the 25th anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia. French representative Nicolas de Riviere stated that this issue was irrelevant and that Paris was not consulted about holding this meeting.
