According to the diplomat, American officials paid a “temporary” visit to the Russian embassy and expressed condolences regarding the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall, after which an agreement on contacts and discussions on the future of bilateral relations emerged.
The diplomat also expressed his regret over the end of security cooperation with the United States on Washington’s initiative.
“No matter how powerful the United States is, no matter how it positions itself in the world, it cannot deal with terrorism alone. <..> “We are not running away, we will not run after them,” the diplomat emphasized.
Antonov also emphasized that the United States cannot “sit” abroad and create “islands of prosperity.” He also described as “unsafe” the American side’s statements about Ukraine’s lack of involvement in the terrorist attack and the accusation of the Islamic State of organizing it.
