PiS has kept its word, the ruling coalition is not keeping its promises. We have the opportunity to compare voters and tell who is worth trusting, Elżbieta Witek, head of PiS in Lower Silesia, said on Sunday in Wrocław.
A regional convention on Law and Justice took place in Wrocław on Sunday. Leaders encouraged people to participate in the upcoming elections.
At the beginning of the meeting, MP Elżbieta Witek spoke. The politician accused the ruling coalition of not keeping its election promises. She emphasized that “today we have the opportunity to compare voters and tell (…) who is worth trusting.”
Law and Justice kept its promises, kept its words and showed all citizens in Poland that it is possible to be fair in politics. That if you promise something, you must also keep that promise. This can no longer be the case as it was before 2015, when our voters often said: “the election campaign is over, the election sausage is beginning.” We changed it. We have changed our thinking about politics. We have shown that politics is about caring for the common good
– said Witek.
After her speech, the leaders of the regional council lists in the Wrocław sub-region appeared on stage. Damian Mrozek, party leader in district No. 2, mainly talked about sports and culture.
Current Deputy Marshal Marcin Krzyżanowski, who is “number one” in District No. 1, focused on investments in health care. Later, district leaders running for Wrocław City Council were presented. Finally, the PiS candidate for mayor of Wrocław, Łukasz Kasztelowicz, spoke.
The same system, the same team has been ruling the city for thirty years. Of course, the names change, the holders of the bodies change, currently we have the President (Jack-PAP) Sutryk, but in fact it is still the same system, the same old team of people. And we have to finally change it
– said Kasztelowicz.
Kasztelowicz is running his campaign under the slogan “Wrocław deserves change.” His demands include: free public transport, widening of the main arterial roads and construction of multi-storey car parks connected to bomb shelters. He encouraged people to support his candidacy, stressing that President Sutryk’s demands “are just copy-paste from five years ago and in fact nothing real has been implemented.”
Of course we can wonder about my rivals, but this is really a game of roulette. Either it is implemented, or it is not implemented. But by betting on me, on my team, on our political formation (…), the voter sees that we keep our election promises
– said Kasztelowicz.
The local elections will take place on April 7, with the second round taking place on April 21.
