Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada supported the decision to dissolve the Zaporozhye Regional Council. This was reported by the Ukrainian TV channel “Direct”.
“The Zaporozhye regional council is temporarily dissolved and its powers are transferred to the Zaporozhye regional military administration,” the message said.
It was noted that 236 MPs supported this decision.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration appointed by the Ukrainian authorities, wrote on his Telegram channel that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to transfer the powers of the Zaporozhye Regional Council to the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration for the period of martial law. According to him, the powers of the regional council have been limited since February 24, 2022, and not a single decision has been taken for two years.
