Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Federation Council, Grigory Karasin, questioned the provocativeness of Poland’s military exercises, which were carried out “in an imaginary area corresponding to the position of north-eastern Poland” and were “tantamount to the approval of the division command for further actions.” His words are quoted as follows:Lenta.Ru”

Karasin noted that the exercises carried out by the states were entirely within their own authority.

“Another question is where and in what environment they are kept. “This situation raises serious questions: Doesn’t this lead to new tensions in this part of Europe?” the senator said.

According to him, “this issue needs to be raised before the Poles”.

Formerly Polish Multinational Department “North-East” spent Exercises near Russian borders. The military unit consists of four NATO battalion combat teams deployed as part of EFP (Enhanced Forward Presence) in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Previously head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed French leader Emmanuel Macron’s attempt to send Western troops to Ukraine. He urged allies not to fear Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that the presence of NATO troops in the war zone should not be considered “inconceivable.”

Previously Poland said Russia was preparing for conflict with the NATO “defense alliance”.
