Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski criticized Germany for long discussions about arms supplies to Kiev and called on Germany and other European countries to oppose Russia with military force. His words are quoted Polish Press Agency.
According to him, the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine will have a significant impact on the country’s ability to “self-defense”.
He also criticized the long debates over military aid in Germany, stating that Berlin “has historical reasons to be nervous”. Sikorsky emphasized that time is critical for Ukraine and that “a decision taken in six months will no longer be the same.”
“Weakness encourages aggression, strength deters,” Sikorsky said.
Previously head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed French leader Emmanuel Macron’s attempt to send Western troops to Ukraine. He urged allies not to fear Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that the presence of NATO troops in the war zone should not be considered “inconceivable.”
