Confederation MP Przemysław Wipler said his party would not join the ruling coalition, but if there were a minority government of Szymon Hołownia and Trzecia Droga without Donald Tusk, such a solution would be “better than what we have now.” “For us, a minority government is a relief, for Poland. (…) At some point, politicians – who want a radical left course, both economically and traditionally – must understand that if they push too hard, they can get something like this – Wipler said on Radio Zet.
The Confederation’s candidate for the presidency of Warsaw, Przemysław Wipler, waves to the leader of Poland 2050.
I would like to thank Mr. Marshal that – better late than later – a very important event will take place tomorrow, because for the first time in the history of the Confederation, our project will be voted on; was taken from the freezer
– said Wipler in the program “Guest of Radio ZET”. As he noted, this is the first bill submitted to the Marshal’s staff in this Sejm. This concerns the law to increase the tax-free allowance to PLN 60,000. zloty.
““A Gift for Tusk”
I understand that this is also a gift from Marshal Hołownia to Donald Tusk in return for what he has done to him in recent weeks.
– added the politician of the Confederation.
As he explained, “when he left for the Congress of the European People’s Party, Szymon Hołownia was attacked very radically by activists of both the left and the Civic Coalition on the issue of abortion.”
On the day that Donald Tusk was not there to take responsibility for it, and Marshal Hołownia was, peasants were clubbed and gassed in front of the Sejm; there were actions that damaged the image of Szymon Hołownia as a rival candidate of Donald Tusk or another Civic Platform politician in the presidential elections in two important constituencies: women and peasants
– he named.
Seasoned politicians use different tools, and the worst competition is from their own camp. Donald Tusk or any PO politician will never seek votes from the hard PiS electorate, but the Third Way and Left electorate are the two groups in which he wants to build his formation. The presidential election is a year away, and it will pass quickly
– Wipler pointed out.
Minority government?
He also suggested that the Confederation “will not join the ruling coalition,” but does not rule out “a minority government of Szymon Hołownia and the Third Way without Donald Tusk, unless attacked by radical left and economic demands, which, for example, Polish construction.” He judged that Third Way politicians are reasonable people.
For us, a minority government is a relief for the Poles. (…) At some point, politicians – who want a radical left direction, both economically and traditionally – have to understand that if they push too hard, they can get something like this
– said the politician of the Confederation. He added that such a solution would be “better than what we have now.”
Wipler in the studio of Radio ZET was also asked about the possibility of cooperation between the Confederation and Sovereign Poland.
Cooperation with the politicians of sovereign Poland is absolutely possible. There are a lot of sensible people there, with whom I am friends, but the problem is that their boss believed that a good entrepreneur is someone who is in mining detention, and we think very differently about that. We believe that entrepreneurs are the leaders of the structural transformation that gives Poles bread, work and a decent life
– he explained.
I am not talking about a joint list, but political cooperation is absolutely possible due to the fact that our colleagues from Sovereign Poland are as critical of PiS’s policies towards the EU as we are.
– added the Confederation MP.
