Foreign ministers of European Union countries supported the idea of spending the proceeds from Russia’s frozen assets in tranches on Ukraine. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, in a briefing following the meeting of foreign ministers. TASS.

According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, some countries are seeking “more details”. He explained how to “receive income from assets” and use it in the interests of Ukraine. Borrell noted that it is necessary to strengthen Ukraine’s defense base, as well as providing military aid within the framework of the European Peace Fund.
Borrell noted that the final decision has not been made yet, but it may be approved before or during the EU summit on March 21-22.
