Talking about the creation of a “sanitary zone” in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin meant the organization of a corridor where the enemy cannot attack Russian territory. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing where he was asked to explain the meaning of Putin’s words about the “sanitary zone”.
“The President states that measures will be taken to secure the region against drone attacks and artillery bombardment of our territory. These can only be secured by creating a kind of corridor, a kind of real buffer zone, so that any means that the enemy can use to launch an attack are out of their reach,” Peskov explained.
