Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia stated that President Andrzej Duda cannot veto bills resulting from the referendum. PiS MP Bartłomiej Wróblewski showed on the X website that the leader of Poland 2050 is wrong.
We have analyzes from our law firm about this
– he assured Hołownia.
His words could have been interpreted as an attempt to put pressure on the president.

MP Wróblewski’s response
And what is it really like? Very different from what the chairman of the Sejm would want.
Marshal @szymon_holownia is wrong. The president not only can, but is obliged to veto a bill if the bill is clearly unconstitutional (or refer it back to the Constitutional Court). Parliament cannot pass such a law either
– wrote PiS MP Bartłomiej Wróblewski by the way – a lawyer.
The referendum has nothing to do with it. All state authorities must comply with the Constitution, including the protection of the most fundamental individual rights: dignity, life and property
– noted the parliamentarian.
May these brief law lessons be remembered by Marshal Hołownia.
