We will apply for further funds from the ammunition program and we will learn from the mistakes of our predecessors, because when the process of collecting applications ended, not much more could be done – said the Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
On Friday, the European Commission decided to make 500 million euros available to arms companies to increase the production capacity of artillery ammunition. This is aimed at supplying more missiles to Ukraine and replenishing the stocks of European Union countries.

According to former Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, of the 500 million euros transferred to European arms companies to increase production of artillery ammunition, Poland will receive only about 2.1 million euros. He added that German companies will receive around 85 million euros and Hungarian companies 27 million euros.
The impossibility of the December 13 coalition
When asked by journalists about Poland applying for EC financing for the production of tank and artillery ammunition for Ukraine, the Deputy Prime Minister said that nothing could be done in this case.
Unfortunately, once the process of collecting applications for the ammunition program ends, there is not much more that can be done
– he said. However, he recalled that this was not the last subsidy for this production in the EU.
We will of course apply as more EU funds become available for this purpose. We will apply and learn from the mistakes of our predecessors
– said Kosiniak-Kamysz in Polsat News.
We fix it
– assured the minister.
According to him, his predecessors should pat themselves on the back and think about how they messed up and how they politicized the situation and the message in the arms industry and all state-owned companies, which did not achieve any results.
Earlier, the head of the National Security Agency, Jacek Siewiera, said on Platform X that the European Commission’s decision to subsidize ammunition production is a scandal. As he highlighted, of the three applications submitted by Dezamet, Nitrochem and Mesko, only 0.4 percent were allocated to Polish companies. the entire financing, while German capital received almost 20 percent. available pool of 500 million euros.
According to the head of the National Security Bureau, “in addition to determining whether the players have committed technical fouls or made a mistake before entering the ring by the referee, it is necessary to immediately file a protest against the results of this procedure .”
If this is what European solidarity should look like, then no one should be surprised that equipment is being contracted across the Atlantic and Pacific. These are FUNDAMENTAL issues
– added Siewiera.
According to him, possible explanations that the applications had formal defects cannot be serious, because the bidder can always be called upon to correct the defects.
No explanation that financing will be available in the second round can be satisfactory to the Polish government. Then the contracts will be awarded and the Polish army will be dependent on external entities
– said the head of the National Security Bureau.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Janusz Sejmej, responding to Mariusz Błaszczak’s submissions on the X platform, emphasized that the fact that only one Polish company receives support should be a shame for him.
Quotations could be submitted for 2 months from October 2023 and you personally registered for this program in March 2023. So the program was announced during the reign of the PiS government!
– added.
Attack on Mariusz Blaszczak
He also accused Błaszczak of “preferring to organize political picnics” rather than supporting him.
It was worth taking care of our businesses and not focusing on the constant replacement of CEOs. Today we are experiencing the consequences of this. Of the three companies that applied for the ASAP program, only one qualified. This is the picture the Lord leaves behind
– summarized the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense.
In a post on the
Applications to the EC had to be submitted in the period October – December 2023. They then dealt with the election campaign and then pretended to form a government
– added the head of MAP.
The EC’s decision is intended to enable the European defense industry to increase its production capacity to 2 million missiles per year by the end of 2025. Currently these capacities are estimated at just over 1 million per year. The money goes to companies such as Rheinmetall, Nammo, Chemring Nobel, Hellenic Defense Systems, Eurenco and others. They are also intended to stimulate additional investments from the business community through co-financing, which is expected to translate into a total investment amount of approximately 1.4 billion euros.
Apparently the December 13 Coalition is having difficulty facing its defeat. The face of failure – because of his position – will be Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Talking about pastors is just a smokescreen.
