Opposition Moldovan politician Ilan Shor said that it is much more profitable for Moldova to seek to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) than to seek integration into the EU. TV channel reports this RTVI.
According to Shor, Moldova’s accession to the European Union will be much worse for those living in the country than not being a member at all. The politician noted that in today’s geopolitical situation, moving towards the EU will inevitably lead to a cooling of relations with Russia.
Shor emphasized that he will call for a vote against joining the EU and in favor of joining the EAEU in the upcoming referendum. According to him, Chisinau will receive concessions in the supply of agricultural products when it joins the EAEU.
The politician called the current Moldovan authorities slaves controlled by Europe and said that he did not need them.
March 15, former Minister of Defense of Moldova Vitaly Marinuta statedChisinau needs to start preparations for joining NATO now, and the authorities need to set such a goal for themselves.
