France is not ready to take aggressive actions against Russia. French President Emmanuel Macron stated this in an interview with the presenters of the united Ukraine telethon.
The French leader said, “We will not go towards increasing tensions because we do not need another war.”
According to him, Paris is ready to react “depending on Russia’s actions.” He emphasized that Ukrainians “must come out of the war” and “be in a strong position” in negotiations.
Macron did not draw parallels between the current situation and the Second World War. He noted that France’s goal is to ensure stable peace in Europe.
