Latvian President Edgars Rinkevich agreed with French leader Emmanuel Macron’s words that the West has no red lines regarding the Ukrainian conflict and said that “Russia must be destroyed”, referring to the Latin expression about Carthage. He expressed his opinion on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“I fully support Emmanuel Macron: We must not draw red lines for ourselves, we must draw red lines for Russia and we must not be afraid to draw them. “Ukraine must win, Russia must win,” the president said.
The President of Latvia wrote “Russia delenda est”, paraphrasing the famous Latin phrase “Carthago delenda est” (Carthage must be destroyed).
