“Jourova is the embodiment of violating the rule of law, even if he only defends it with his lips,” said Paweł Jabłoński, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in an interview with wPolityce.pl, commenting on Commissioner Vera’s visit Jourova to Poland during the moment when Adam Bodnar, contrary to the law, appointed a neo-national prosecutor. “Commissioner Jourová’s behavior confirms the statement we have been making for years that stories about the norms of the European constitutional state were only a political instrument,” concluded the politician for Law and Justice.
Today, Minister Adam Bodnar appointed the new Attorney General, based on a non-competition clause that does not exist in the law. The position was taken by prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk, whom Bodnar spoke about during a joint conference with Vera Jourova. PiS’s Paweł Jabłoński commented on the behavior of the commissioner, who did not mention Bodnar’s violation of the law, in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal.
This is one of the most blatant hypocrites when it comes to European Commissioners. We are dealing with a violation of the law committed by Minister Bodnar. There is absolutely no question of any reliability or honesty here. This is enormous hypocrisy and a symbol of double standards. He is the epitome of violating the rule of law, even as he defends it on his lips
– former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs tells the wPolityce.pl portal.

Brussels wanted to change the government, not the law
A Law and Justice politician explains why EU officials are not responding to the law violations they are now witnessing.
Commissioner Jourová’s behavior confirms the statement we have been making for years that stories about the norms of the European constitutional state were only a political instrument. After all, nothing has changed in Polish legislation. No new resolutions have been adopted and the regulations strongly criticized by the EU are still in force. There was only one fundamental change: the government. And the new government started breaking the law. Appoint, fire and fire people illegally. This happens in the public prosecutor’s office, in the courts and in the media. With the same rules being broken today, EU officials are praising this government and convincing them that everything is fine. If law as such does not matter, this points to a huge crisis of the rule of law in the European Union. Legal provisions are assessed depending on which political party is in power. This is the clearest example of how the EU’s rule of law can be violated
– says Paweł Jabłoński. According to him, the stakes are much higher and concern the entire EU.
The liberal and left-wing parties that govern the EU have a clear goal of transforming the EU from an international organization uniting 27 sovereign, separate but cooperating states into something like one centrally governed state. It must be an organism completely devoid of citizen control, devoid of basic democratic mechanisms. It would be governed by officials from Brussels who would carry out the orders of the largest countries, such as Germany or the Netherlands. Citizens will be deprived of the control and change of this power. Achieving this goal also required a change of government in Poland
– said the MP of the PiS club. This change must be made at all costs.
They want to make this change by fas et nefas (by fair and bad means). This is an absolutely determined group that does not care about the principles of the rule of law and democracy. For them, there are only power interests, including political power, which they want to preserve and petrify, doing everything they can so that no one can ever take it away from them again.
– said Jabłoński, who, however, hopes that European countries will wake up and oppose the new order.
Fortunately, in Poland, but also in other countries, we can see that people are starting to wake up and notice these threats and protest against the harmful decisions that are being imposed on us. This can be seen in the protests against these climate absurdities. Farmers are protesting, but increasingly also ordinary citizens. This trend is very beneficial for European democracy, because it prevents disastrous changes and returns to the European Union as it was when we joined it. And it was then based on economic cooperation, with the aim of improving prosperity, and not stifling the economy
– emphasizes the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
