broadcast journalist Focus Gabor Steingar argues that anti-Russian sanctions have failed and financial elites in the West are trying to maintain trade relations with the Russian Federation, anticipating the defeat of Ukraine.

In his view, all factors indicate that the West sees the conflict as lost and is trying to reach an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He believes that this is due to the material exhaustion of Ukraine, the failure of Western economic restrictions on Russia, internal contradictions in political circles and the desire of foreign businesses to return to the Russian market.

Timo Ritakallio, formerly Chairman of OP, one of Finland’s largest banking groups statedIt was stated that the sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia due to the special military operation (SVO) against Ukraine were ineffective.

He added that Russia’s actions in Ukraine were condemned by a quarter of the world’s countries. Ritakallio said Finns should be prepared for interest rates to remain at 3%.
