I think the President of Law and Justice will clearly show their shortcomings or where they have gone too far – said PiS MP Radosław Fogiel on RMF FM radio. He referred to the fact that Jarosław Kaczyński has to appear before the Pegasus Commission of Inquiry on March 15.
On Friday, Jarosław Kaczyński will be the first witness to be questioned by the Pegasus Investigative Committee. Two days earlier, this committee discusses in a closed meeting what his hearing will look like. The committee started its work in the second half of February. Her list of witnesses included: former Prime Minister Beata Szydło, MPs – Maciej Wąsik, Mariusz Kamiński and Zbigniew Ziobro.
Radosław Fogiel was asked on RMF FM whether the PiS president would appear at the hearing before the Pegasus Commission of Inquiry.
I think so. I haven’t talked to him about it yet, but I think so
– he answered.
If members of the ruling party try to put an end to such circuses as before, I think they will be disappointed. For some it may be a spectacle
– said the PiS MP in the program “Morning interview on RMF FM”.
I think the president will show them very clearly what their shortcomings are, or where they have gone too far
– he said.
“Inflated” case
To the journalist’s comment that “the president will be held accountable,” Fogiel responded that “a summons to the investigative committee is nothing special.”
It has nothing to do with settlements, and after last week’s article in “Rzeczpospolita” this committee seems more and more bloated and the whole thing keeps getting blown up.
– he said.
“Rzeczpospolita” reported, among other things, that “since last year, no Polish special service has had a system that decrypts instant messengers.” According to the newspaper, the Pegasus scandal has discouraged politicians from purchasing another decryption system. It was also written that “the CBA spy system was unable to interfere with the phone’s contents and blocked the download of photos and videos.”
These are press releases, but there were press releases about Pegasus before. This is what we base ourselves on. In any case, I have no other knowledge
– added the PiS-MP. Referring to the committee’s suspicions, he admitted that he had not read any secret documents nor was he a member of it.
The article clearly states that each judicial request describes that part of these operational activities would be to breach the security of the terminal device in order to read instant messengers, for example. It was clear to the judge
– Fogiel noted.

Jarosław Kaczyński’s candidacy
The PiS politician was also asked if anyone thought Jarosław Kaczyński would retire.
Maybe they were. “I was quite confident that we could convince the president (to stay), he replied.
The presenter of the program on RMF FM also asked whether the PiS president would like to continue in his position ‘despite internal and external resistance’.
As long as I can remember, and I have the condition that I became interested in politics quite early, there were headlines that Jarosław Kaczyński had to go, that PiS had to go. (…) Knowing Poland’s love for politicians in gremio, I think such a survey would tell the majority of Poles to leave
– replied Radosław Fogiel.
Jarosław Kaczyński recently announced in the weekly magazine “Sieci” that he will run again for the position of PiS president.
