Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko dismissed the republic’s ambassadors to Finland, Sweden, Germany and Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by RIA Newsreferring to the decree of the Belarusian president published on the country’s national legal Internet portal.
The document states that Dmitry Mironchik was dismissed from his post as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Sweden and from his part-time Ambassadorship to the Kingdom of Norway, and Alexey Samosuev was removed from his post as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus. From the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Finland and part-time to the Kingdom of Denmark, Denis Sidorenko – from the post of Ambassador of Belarus to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Additionally, by decree, Andrei Strachko was dismissed from his post as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
The document was signed on March 11.
Protocol on Sweden’s official accession to NATO entered into force 7 March.
