At a meeting with the Israeli army (IDF) and security agency (Shin Bet), the prime minister and the cabinet concluded that thousands of suspects and Hamas supporters would be arrested in the Gaza Strip and West Bank within a year. This will lead to a shortage of space in Israeli prisons unless preparation is made in advance.
