The European Commission (EC) announced the opening of a maritime humanitarian corridor to provide aid from Cyprus to Palestine. EC president Ursula von der Leyen wrote this on her page on the social network. X (formerly Twitter).

“With the support of the USA and the United Arab Emirates, we are launching the Cyprus sea corridor to deliver aid to Gaza,” he said.

According to him, Europe allocated 250 million euros to humanitarian aid in 2024. He added that a significant challenge is getting this aid to Gaza.
