Recently, a photo of Rafał Trzaskowski reading a book on the subway appeared on the Internet – “accidentally” it turned out to be Dune by Frank Herbert. The second part of the film adaptation of this book has just been released in cinemas. Tobiasz Bocheński, PiS candidate for mayor of Warsaw, decided to refer to this situation in his inclusion on the X platform.
I happened to be riding the subway with books
— Tobiasz Bocheński wrote on the X platform, referring to Trzaskowski’s photo. He has included a recording with the entry.
“I don’t see the world burning.”
Mr. Tobiasz, how is it possible that you travel in the metro without a photographer or cameraman?
– this is the question Bocheński is asked in the attached recording.
And when I look out the window, I don’t see the world burning
– replied Bocheński, probably also referring to Rafał Trzaskowski’s appearance, in which the current mayor of the capital threatened that people would soon start fighting over water.
Let’s see what’s happening outside the window. The planet is burning! We’ll be fighting for water in a moment. The planet will end. We just won’t let it burn down
– Trzaskowski said then.
What does Tobiasz Bochenski read?
Since not all titles were visible in the recording, the PiS candidate for mayor of Warsaw was happy to answer Internet users’ questions about the rest.
Shakespeare’s “Tragedies and Chronicles”, translated by Barańczak. “Betonia” by Chomątowska “Back. The history of Warsaw to the beginning” by Brzostek
– He wrote.
You will also see titles such as ‘The war for Ukraine. ‘War for the World’ by Piotr Zychowicz and Jacek Bartosiak, or ‘Prusy. “Five centuries.”
And apart from that, all Poles deserve an explanation: ‘PiS supporters’, politicians, PiS supporters and in general voters of right-wing parties also read a lot. For this purpose, they don’t have to take a photo of themselves with a book on the subway, making it look like they accidentally came into contact with the written word.
