Paweł Kukiz’s hearing before the Commission of Inquiry on the postal elections certainly did not go as Donald Tusk’s coalition had wanted. At one point the witness spoke about… a proposal of de facto political corruption that the community of Kukiz’15 would receive from the current government and the then opposition. As part of the offer, Stanisław Tyszka was offered the position of… Marshal of the Sejm.

When the four of us decided who would get power, we had proposed positions of the current government and the current opposition, including the position of Chairman of the Sejm.
– emphasized Kukiz, referring to subsequent questions from the Vice-Chairman of the Poland 2050 Commission Bartosz Romowicz about ‘buying’ votes from MPs.
Kukiza asked about the details of this proposal Waldemar Budavice-chairman of the PiS committee.
There was a proposal for the position of Chairman of the Sejm
– said Kukiz. When Dariusz Joński asked him who had made such a proposal, he replied:
I don’t remember, Mr Sawicki most likely had conversations between Mr Tyszka and Mr Budka at that time, and I also had a conversation with Budka during that period.
Pawel Kukiz* he also recalled the proposal of the current government – when it was still in opposition – to take over the position of chairman of the Pegasus Commission.
“You should ask Stanisław Tyszka for details.”
Also Michał Wójcik from sovereign Poland, became the subject of the proposal to become chairman of the Sejm, submitted by Kukiz’15, submitted by the current government.
Personally, I have not received such a proposal, but in this case I would have to ask Stanisław Tyszka for details
– he said, confirming that the current government’s proposal came when they were still in opposition.
Furthermore, at some point during the hearing, Paweł Kukiz spoke about another morally dubious proposal he had received from the current government. This was part of the answer to a question from Speaker Dariusz Joński about the proposals that Kukiz’s 15 MPs would receive from PiS.
I might add that I have also received a suggestion from you to lock myself in the bathroom, for example when removing Mr. Nitras’ immunity. I didn’t have to condemn myself for voting against taking away immunity, because I believe that everyone should have immunity taken away, or that no one should have it.
– said Kukiz. At this point Joński interrupted Kukiz’s statement. MP Buda responded to his behavior by not interrupting the witness.
As you can see, Paweł Kukiz’s interrogation took a completely unexpected turn for Donald Tusk’s coalition. Interesting information emerged, but probably not what the current administration would expect.
